Sunday School
Sunday School is a place where people of all ages can learn about God and the Bible while enjoying Christian fellowship. Here at First Presbyterian Church, we offer six engaging classes, all filled with inviting opportunities for all to deepen their faith.
Three Adult Classes
The Fellowship Class meets in the Fellowship Building on Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. The class studies several different topics throughout the year by various authors such as Max Lucado, Adam Hamilton, and Amy Jill-Levine. Our studies run approximately 6 weeks. We will be beginning a new study, The Jesus I Never Knew by Phillip Yancey on August 6th. Please join us for coffee and fellowship.
The Parlor Class meets in the Parlor on Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m. This adult class approaches 6–8-week studies about living out the pillars of our faith as we balance the demands of our lives. It also focuses on fellowship and lively discussion of a wide range of Bible based topics throughout the year. Although we do not meet during the summer, please join us starting Sunday, September 17.
Our NEW Young Adult Sunday School Class kickstarts on Sunday, September 17 at 10 a.m. in the first classroom to the right upstairs. Our 6–8-week group studies intend to nurture & strengthen your family’s spiritual growth through topics relevant to young adults. The first 8-week study, “The Art of Parenting: Aiming your Child’s Heart Toward God,” presents ways to further establish Christian values in your home. Looking to strengthen your family & marriage? Seeking answers to tough parenting questions? Having a hard time balancing life? If you answered yes, this class is for you! All are welcome!
Two Children's Classes
We have two children’s Sunday School classes available for your little ones. Our Preschool Class (ages 2–4-years) and Children’s Class (ages 5-5th grade) teach the Bible stories of Jesus on Sunday mornings from 10am-10:45am. Sunday School also teaches children to respect others, socialize in Christian love, and appreciate the Bible. We ensure a healthy, fun, safe environment for our children to learn about God’s love while enjoying a balance of playtime and fellowship with other children.
Youth Sunday School
The heart of Youth Sunday School is to help students grow in their relationship with Christ. Our Sunday school helps students to grow closer to God and to each other. We offer dynamic, thought-provoking subjects centered around the Bible. Join us every Sunday during the school year as we learn about the Lord!
**A nursery is provided to all children ages 0-2 for all church services including Sunday School time.
