General Information

The William Manning Malloy Scholarship Fund was established in 2001 as a result of a gift that was made to the First Presbyterian Church of Cheraw by Mr. William Manning Malloy. The Scholarship is to be awarded annually to at least one, but no more than two of the most highly qualified graduating high school senior applicants, as determined by the Scholarship Committee.

• Demonstrated active interest, through behavior and grades, in acquiring a higher education

• Qualities of learning and leadership

Edwin Malloy Memorial Scholarship

General Information

The Edwin Malloy Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 1974 by a bequest from Mrs. Margaret Adger Manning Malloy, requesting that it be so named and that recipients of the scholarships be legal residents of Cheraw and the five mile radius therefrom.

Requirements

Funds are awarded annually, based on the following criteria:

• Documented financial need

• Demonstrated active interest through behavior and grades in acquiring a higher education

• Demonstrated spiritual attributes and qualities of scholarship and leadership

The D.W. Moore, Jr. Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually to a deserving student interested in pursuing a major in Music Education.

Requirements

​Funds are awarded annually, based on the following criteria:

• Interest in pursuing a major in Music Education

• Demonstrates active interest, through behavior and grades, in acquiring a higher education
